Dr. Ara Suppiah's journey in medicine began at the University of Liverpool, where he developed a passion for understanding the human body's remarkable capacity for healing and performance. His early career in surgery and Emergency Medicine in the UK laid the foundation for his comprehensive approach to patient care.
The move to the United States marked a pivotal chapter, where he began practicing Emergency Medicine in Florida and became Chief Wellness Officer of Florida Emergency Physicians. This experience, combined with his surgical training, refined his diagnostic skills and laid the foundation for his innovative approach to sports medicine.
His transition into sports medicine came organically, as professional golfers on the European and PGA Tours sought his expertise. What began as treating acute injuries evolved into a comprehensive performance optimization practice, leading to his role as personal physician to multiple PGA Tour champions.
Today, Dr. Ara serves as Head of Medical Services for LIV Golf while maintaining his emergency medicine practice in Orlando. This unique dual role keeps him grounded in acute care while pushing the boundaries of preventive and performance medicine.
